Novel alpha-bromo-beta-phosphoalkoxylated carbonyl compounds were produced in moderate to excellent yields via highly selective four-component reaction involving NBS, a cyclic ether, an organic phosphate and an aromatic alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compound.
